Privacy Policy
How ProductRack collects, uses, and protects information when you use our free launch-tracking dashboard.
Overview
ProductRack ("we", "us") operates productrack.xyz — a free web dashboard that aggregates publicly available product launch signals, trends, and founder-oriented insights.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we process when you visit the site and how we use it. By using ProductRack, you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
Usage analytics. We collect anonymous usage events (such as page views and feature interactions) to understand how the dashboard is used and to improve it. Events may include a randomly generated visitor identifier stored in your browser, a session identifier stored for the browsing session, the page path, referrer, and timestamps.
Optional Google Analytics. If enabled for a deployment, we may load Google Analytics (Google LLC) using a measurement ID configured by the site operator. Google may process device and usage data under its own privacy policy.
Server logs. Our hosting provider may automatically log standard request metadata (IP address, user agent, request time, and URL) for security and reliability.
Launch data we display. ProductRack ingests information that products publish publicly through third-party launch feeds, websites, and app stores. That data is not personal information you submit to us directly; it originates from public sources.
How we use information
We use collected information to operate, secure, and improve ProductRack; measure aggregate traffic; debug errors; and generate editorial summaries and insights from public launch data.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use usage data for cross-site advertising profiles.
Cookies and local storage
ProductRack may store small amounts of data in your browser using localStorage and sessionStorage (for example, analytics queue and anonymous visitor identifiers). These are first-party, functional records — not advertising cookies.
If Google Analytics is enabled, Google may set its own cookies or similar technologies subject to your browser settings and Google's policies.
You can clear site data through your browser settings at any time.
Third-party services
Some features rely on third-party cloud providers to generate briefings, translations, and insights from aggregated public data. Requests sent to those providers contain launch and editorial context, not your account credentials — ProductRack does not require sign-in for basic use.
ProductRack links to third-party sites (Product Hunt, Hacker News, company homepages, and similar). Their privacy practices govern any data you provide to them.
Data retention
Anonymous analytics events are retained only as long as needed for aggregate reporting and are batched periodically from your browser.
Public launch records and derived analytics may be cached on our servers to power the dashboard and may persist in backups for operational reasons.
Your choices
You may disable JavaScript or block analytics scripts in your browser, though some dashboard features may not work as intended.
Where applicable law grants access, correction, or deletion rights, contact us using the email below and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Children
ProductRack is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
